Youth in Transition
Rhodes to Independence Youth in
Transition Workgroup has been committed since its inception
to identifying and removing gaps within the system to ensure
that the 8,500 to 9,000 youths with disabilities between the
ages of 14 to 21 who are either graduating or leaving the
school system, are aware of and receiving the necessary
transitioning services to obtain employment, while ensuring
health care and supportive services. Through workgroups and
state partnerships, we have developed Informational and
training materials that can help youth make a successful
transition from school to work, and to economic
self-sufficiency.
